Christmas Countdown (3 Weeks To Go)

It's December!!!!! And the time will absolutely fly by but I intend to make the most of every second! I thoroughly enjoy all the preparation, wrapping and spending my evenings in front of the fire sipping hot tea and watching the fairy lights twinkle!

This week is all about the food prep! By now you should have maybe given a little thought to what you might be cooking (or bringing) to the Christmas Day table...

To start I highly recommend these yummy cheese stars! They can be used as a small nibble or they are absolutely fantastic in a bowl of soup as a bread substitute!

If you haven't made your own yorkshire puddings before then this Christmas you should definitely give them a go because they are so easy and you'll never buy ones from the freezer aisle again! In fact, you can even freeze these! Cook, cool and then pop into the freezer in a tupperware ready to bring out when needed, just add 3 mins on to the cooking time! I'll Pop my recipe below!

Now for my absolute favourite recipe!! My festive stuffing. This is honestly so delicious, it's like a meal in itself!!! You really must try this - fancy wreath shape is of course optional! This is quite a versatile recipe and you easily adapt it to the accompanying roast dinner elements you choose to have!

Not a fan of Turkey? How about this

delicious meatloaf instead? It can be prepared in advance and simply warmed through on the day saving you lots of oven space when you need it most! It tastes even better cold the next day too!

And now in my humble opinion, the best part... DESSERT!!

I have the biggest sweet tooth and I love having a perfect dessert to really round off a wonderful meal! I'm presenting 2 options here; a super light and refreshing orange syllabub or a devilishly decadent tiffin Christmas pudding! Both are equally delish but one is much more filling than the other!

(I shall be serving the syllabub in case you were wondering!)

Thank you once again for taking the time to read my blog, it really does mean the world to me and I really hope you enjoy cooking a few of these recipes!!
