Happy New Year!

Well hello everyone!

Happy New Year!

I'm afraid I have ever so slightly been neglecting my lovely little blog (and my instagram recently too!) in favour of... well I'm not really sure what haha!

To be honest more than anything I have done my best to be a completely present mum which has involved hours of karaoke (sorry neighbours) and building epic marble runs!

Both of which have been an absolute blast and in my very rare bits of down time I have been enjoying some lovely cheesy Christmas books and catching up on all the Christmas specials on TV!

I haven't been fully slacking however as earlier this year I started a youtube channel! I have just sort of been playing about with it and uploading little daily vlogs which seem to be fairly popular so I will pop a link here if any of you fancy catching up with my daily life!

So let's work backwards starting with today! As per tradition, we started off our New Year with chocolate croissants. This year I purchased the frozen Pret a Manger ones and they were DELICIOUS! Will definitely be keeping a stash of those in my freezer! As for New Year's Eve, we find it practically impossible to stay up to midnight so we just had a quiet night where I cooked up some yummy food including my Pesto Pasta and Apple & Blackberry Pie for dessert. This was followed by yet more karaoke and building marble runs!

Christmas was also a reasonably quiet affair. We hosted a little family buffet on Christmas eve which was lovely and I tried my hand at devilled eggs! Yum!

Then it was a quick tidy up when our guests left ready for the arrival of the big man himself!! Sofia asked Santa for: Hand Cream, Rubix Cube, Sweets and a TV for her bedroom and I can confirm that she was indeed a good little girl and Santa set up her TV in the middle of the night while she slept!! Waking up to her screaming 'MAMA, MAMA, MAMA, COME HERE!! I THINK I'M DREAMING BUT I'M AWAKE!' was the absolute best feeling ever!!

On the big day we all headed over to my Dads home for Bruschetta to start followed by a delicious Christmas Dinner. It was so nice not to host the big day this year and once again allowed me to be more present with Sofia which is something I'm so grateful for!

During the Crimbo Limbo not much else was achieved other than a delicious meal at The Cornish Arms which was a really lovely treat for my husband and I to have together

And also I have been OBSESSED over the last few months with doing my own gel manicures!! I have mastered the basics and now I'm moving on to more fancy designs!! I am loyal to the Mylee brand and managed to score myself a few new shades in the sales and I am so excited to hopefully get round to doing a new design on my nails this evening!

I hope you all had a lovely festive period and I wish you all love and light for the coming year! xxxxx
